Great sales personnel (and lousy ones)

I love great sales personnel.

As much as I loathe lousy ones.

We were looking for track lighting at the local lighting store, from whom we had bought in the past. Those who've shopped for lighting know this takes some time and, often, in home consultations. After all, it is neither a small purchase, nor one you can easily replace.

We described to the (new) salesman our objectives who show us some ceiling samples, enough to get a general idea. The samples were limited, so he handed us some catalogs.

Then it became challenging.

As we narrowed in on choices we, naturally, had questions. Size of the heads, type of track, line voltage, number of wires...we definitely needed expert help.

But we got none. He said we needed an electrician to visit our residence and determine what we needed Which we did.

And then, frustrated, ordered online.

Business savvy matters.
